Kalyse Rose Happy New Years
By maree - January 13, 2017

It’s 2017!!!!

I can’t believe how fast time is going by! They say that as you grow older, time flies by faster. Some say its because the amount of time you are alive is increasing, therefore the ratio of 1 year to your WHOLE life decreases. So for example, when I was 5 years old, 1 year was a fifth of my entire life. But now, a year is only a twenty-third of my whole life. It makes sense, and regardless of whether this theory is true or not, time definitely flies by!

This New Year, I was at home with my family. It was so much fun! The snow was almost up to my waist in some places!! I felt like a little kid again, because I haven’t been in that much snow since I was 8 years old! We went snowmobiling, skiing, and snowshoeing and tons of other fun stuff.

Even though I had lots of fun over break, God was definitely teaching me some hard lessons. More then ever before, God showed me my need of Him. He showed me how MY strength is really weakness, and how MY wisdom is really foolishness.

Coming back to school this quarter and with New Year resolutions filling the air, my goal is to live with Christ’s strength and wisdom in my heart and mind. No more trying to do things on my own, in my own strength, in my own way. God’s way is always best.
