Renewing your NRP

The NREMT has now fully transitioned to the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model for re certification.  This model requires a total of 60 hours of continuing education in three categories:

  1. National Component (30 hours) – (LLUMC CE topics)
  2. Local or State Component (15 hours)
  3. Individual Component (15 hours)

While California has not adopted the NCCP model yet, we have communicated with NREMT and they will accept continuing education that covers the National Component topic list.  LLUMC will be providing 30 hours of CE credit to meet the National Component requirements (list of topics)

Successful NRP re-certification will require completion of the local/state component hours (15) and individual component hours (15) on your own.  Please note that skills testing and sign-off is not part of this National Registry Paramedic Continuing Education Course; you should contact your agency medical director or training officer for this requirement.
