"Due to new advanced placement guidelines from the ARRT received on June 19, 2017, starting July 1, 2017, the ARRT is requiring a new way for assessing candidates who may need our RTAP program based on the courses given in our associates degree program. After much deliberation and having a more limited amount of clinical space today for Advanced Placement (AP) students, the Department of Radiation Technology at Loma Linda University has closed the RTAP program.
We recommend looking on the ARRT website to the list of educational programs that include radiography AP coursework for other options. If there are limited choices, it may be that sitting for another AS degree is the best pathway towards becoming re-eligible. Details on our LLU ASMR program can be found at: www.llu.edu/radiography
If you are looking for advice on next steps OR if you are looking for help after not passing the ARRT exam with a second or third attempt left to take, please email the Medical Radiography program director, Will Edmunds, at: email@example.com
