Johannes Schaepper, PhD, CPO
Chair and Program Director, Department of Orthotics and Prosthetics
Dr. Johannes Schaepper is an assistant professor and department chair for Loma Linda University Department of Orthotics & Prosthetics. He completed his master’s from the Andrew’s University, his O&P certificates from Northwestern University, and his doctoral degree at Loma Linda University.
Dr. Schaepper spent 6 years as an ordained minister in the Seventh Day Adventist church before transitioning to healthcare in O&P. Dr. Schaepper spent 19 years in clinical care and O&P marketing and product education; in the areas of institution based O&P clinical care, local and international product marking and sales, and serving as the COO in a company specializing in soft goods production and marketing worldwide. In 2010, Dr. Schaepper began his career in academia, serving as the program director for the MSOP program and teaching as an assistant professor until 2017, when he assumed the position of department chair. Currently, Dr. Schaepper is a member of the American Academy of Orthotics & Prosthetics (AAOP) and the American Orthotic & Prosthetics Association (AOPA) and the American Board of Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics (ABCOP).
