Abdullah Alismail, PhD, RRT-NPS, RRT-SDS, FCCP

Assistant Professor

Abdullah Alismail, is the Program Director for the Master of Science in Respiratory Care Program, Certificate in Polysomnography, and the Director of Clinical Education in the Respiratory Care Program- Department of Cardiopulmonary Sciences, School of Allied Health Professions, Loma Linda University. Dr. Alismail also a member of the Faculty of Graduate Studies in LLU. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and Master of Science in Health Professions Education from Loma Linda University. He also earned both his Master of Art and Doctorate degrees from Claremont Graduate University. His work in the pulmonary and Chest medicine has been recognized as he is now a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). Dr. Alismail holds an associate editor position for BMC Pulmonary Medicine Journal as well as being a reviewer in many scholarly journals such as: PLoS One, Annals of Internal Medicine, CHEST, Respiratory Care, and others. In addition, he is a board member in CoBGRTE, an organization that promotes advanced education in respiratory care as well as serving in national committees in other organizations such as CHEST, and ATS.

As an educator, his passion and interest is within health professions education, clinical studies, and innovation. He was also part of the California state and national champion team of the 2011 Sputum Bowl competition in Respiratory Care at the AARC. Dr. Alismail enjoys traveling, sports and reading about history of civilizations, cultures, and comparative religions.
