Arezou Salamat, OTD, OTR/L

Dr. Salamat completed her doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Loma Linda University with an emphasis on addressing the needs of children in foster care in collaboration with the Department of Child and Family Services in San Bernardino County. She is certified in infant massage, sensory integration, and extensive experience infant NDT and addressing the needs of children who experienced early childhood trauma.For almost two decades, Dr. Salamat has been working with children and their families who have had adverse experiences in life that lead to disabilities and lack of participation and engagement in living. Dr. Salamat continually provide professional workshops in collaboration with the Children’s Network and San Bernardino First Five, with the support of the Occupational Therapy Department at Loma Linda University including graduate students, she continues exploring collaboration with childcare providers by partnering with Child Care Resource Center(CCRC) in San Bernardino County,as well as addressing the mental and emotional needs of k-12 students through promotion and prevention, and provide direct occupational therapy services through Screening, Assessment, Referral and Treatment (SART) program, Inland Regional Center(IRC) and local school districts. Dr. Salamat strongly believes that children are the foundation of our society and addressing their needs will shape the future of not only the family unit but also our communities.
