Gina Vyskocil, MA, Ed.D 

Assistant Professor

Gina has taught college writing, business writing, and writing for healthcare professionals and fulfils other duties related to provision of writing support services for students of various schools within Loma Linda University. Gina has engaged in research regarding the unique support needs of single parent student mothers engaged in higher education endeavors, and continues to reposition administrative response in regards to supporting single mothers to degree completion. Gina provides support for both faculty and students in editing their dissertations and articles for publication in scholarly journals, as well as editing support for group research projects. For a number of years, Gina taught English as a Second Language to students in various Asian countries, including Japan and South Korea, and continues to provide academic and research support for Loma Linda University’s students from outside the United States. In 2018, Gina published “Challenges, Needs and Experiences of Single Parent Student Mothers in Higher Education” on scholarworks with a worldwide readership of over 5,000 downloads since publication.
