Shane Jorwin Gemoto received his BS in Biology at Canadian University College (Burman University) in 2008. He completed his MS and OTD in occupational therapy at Loma Linda University (LLU) in 2011 and 2017. While studying at LLU, he went on mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, and Haiti.
Dr. Gemoto primarily worked as a mental health occupational therapist in inpatient and outpatient settings at the Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center. He facilitated individual/group sessions with various individuals across the lifespan with different mental illnesses like Major Depression Disorder and Bipolar Mood Disorder. Dr. Gemoto also has experience in early intervention, pediatric outpatient, and school settings.
Before coming to Loma Linda University, Dr. Gemoto was a Faculty Site Coordinator at Stanbridge University – Riverside Campus.
Dr. Gemoto is blessed with a beautiful wife. Together, they raise three dogs: Bailey (a Maltese Terrier), Mylo (a Pembroke Welsh Corgi), and Lulu (a Maltipoo). Dr. Gemoto enjoys connecting with people, listening to music, attending concerts, constructing mechanical keyboards, solving escape rooms, playing board games, and traveling.
