Terri Rouse, MA, RHIA
Assistant Professor
Terri Rouse is an Assistant Professor and has been a faculty member in the Department of Health Informatics and Information Management since the summer of 2000. While earning two undergraduate degrees, she had the opportunity of working in a Health Information department. Her introduction to this “obscure” profession led to the pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Administration from Loma Linda University. In addition, she also received a master’s degree from the University of Redlands. After accumulating fifteen years of experience in various roles within the Health Information profession, Terri accepted a full-time faculty appointment. She continues to cherish her role as an educator and mentor.
Terri has volunteered for various assignments at the local and state levels. These include being President of the Inland Area Health Information Association (IAHIA) for two separate terms, serving as a member of the California Health Information Association’s (CHIA) Academics Committee, contributing to the CHIA Journal, and co-presenting for various IAHIA and CHIA educational sessions.
