William Edmunds, M.Ed, RT(R)
Will Edmunds is proud to be an alumnus of the Loma Linda University School of Allied Health Professions medical radiography program, class of 2008. When asked to be a part of the faculty, he took on one class as a contract teacher to see what it was all about. He enjoyed teaching future radiographers and joined the department of radiation technology full-time in 2013, after working for five years as a staff technologist in the LLUMC radiology department. Today, Mr. Edmunds is an assistant professor in the SAHP and program director of the same medical radiography program he graduated from back in 2008.
Will’s research interests include student success and transformative learning in higher education. He co-authored an article for the ASRT Scanner in 2014with Dr. Laura Alipoon, about a transformational experience for students helping install new digital radiography equipment on a mission trip he went on to Belize in 2013. Will is currently an Ed.D. doctoral candidate at Concordia University-Portland and is excited to be using what he is learning right away in the classroom with his radiography students.
Along with other SAHP faculty, he took part in several trips to Saudi Arabia to help with multiple cohorts of radiography students at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center.
Will continues his work at the LLUH Surgical Hospital as a per diem technologist to keep up with the latest technology and maintaining his skill set to be a better educator to his students. He also is a director-at-large on the board on the California Society of Radiologic Technologists 2017-2019.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with his wife and three children.
