Welcome!

The Health Information and Informatics (HII) post Baccalaureate program at Loma Linda University equips students for impactful careers at the intersection of healthcare and technology. You will need a baccalaureate degree and completion of the prerequisite courses at a junior college or four-year college to be eligible to enter the program. HII professionals play a vital role in developing and managing health information systems to support quality patient care, financial reimbursement, medical research, healthcare planning, and quality evaluation.

Aligned with the mission of Loma Linda University and the School of Allied Health Professions, our HII program is committed to preparing competent health information professionals through excellence in education, mentoring, and global service. Students who have graduated from this program are eligible to sit for the registered health information administrator (RHIA) exam.

About The Profession

HII offers exceptional flexibility, with career opportunities in diverse settings such as urban hospitals, rural community health centers, home health agencies, outpatient clinics, mental health facilities, insurance companies, governmental agencies, software vendors, and education.
