Brigit Mendoza, MAM, RT (R)
Program Director, Assistant Professor
Brigit Mendoza is a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Technology. Upon her hire date in the summer of 2009, she has been the Program Director for the MS, Radiologist Assistant Program. In 2017 she became the Clinical Coordinator for the RA program, and loves serving in dual roles.
In addition to teaching across several of the programs in the department, Brigit has been an SAHP Assessment Specialist since 2013, and has also served as chair on the University Assessment Technology Committee. Other committee memberships have included: University Assessment, SAHP Homecoming, Distance Learning, and SAHP Faculty Council Executive (served as Secretary). Brigit is the bubbly party planner for the department and loves to celebrate anything.
Brigit has been very active in seeking federal and state licensure for registered radiologist assistants (RRAs), and this has taken her to Sacramento and Washington, DC many times. She enjoys being an advisor to her RA students and watching their growth throughout the program. Her favorite part about working in the Department of Radiation Technology is the sense of family and camaraderie amongst her colleagues. It’s no wonder that many members of the team are alumni from LLU and choose to stay where they feel at home!
