Exploring the World of Nutrition and Dietetics

The world of nutrition and dietetics provides a rewarding career in applying expert knowledge of food and the physical and social sciences to help solve problems of food excesses, inadequate intake, or food insecurity. Nutrition deals with the science of how the body uses food that contains nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals to its full advantage; dietetics is the art of using food to make eating a pleasurable experience and provide abundant health and a long life for all.

The nutrition and dietetics programs prepares competent, entry-level dietitians to meet the needs of Seventh-day Adventist healthcare and educational facilities, as well as community based needs locally, nationally, and internationally.
