The School of Allied Health Professions awards over 100 scholarships annually to students based on a variety of factors, including academic achievement, talent, leadership, geographical location, field of study, and financial need. All of our scholarship options have been made available due to the generosity of our faculty, alumni, friends, and other essential partners.

Robert & Ruth Hervig SAHP SDA Scholarship

To provide scholarships for students enrolled in the school who are members of the SDA church and exhibit a Christian lifestyle.

Amount: $4,000.00

Provide financial aid to students who require such assistance in order to attend school.

Allied Health Professions Alumni & Friends Legacy Scholarship

Scholarships available to incoming students in any department at the School of Allied Health Professions. Preference will be given to students with financial need.

Provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend school.

American Medical Response Southern California Scholarship Fund

A scholarship opportunity for any student enrolled in the department.

Louisa Jezerinac Cardiopulmonary Scholarship

Awarded in June of each year to a student enrolled in the department who, in determination of the committee best exemplifies the qualities of compassion and dedication, which qualities best defined Louisa Jezerinac's life.

Amount: $8,000.00


Robert L. Wilkins Memorial Scholarship

For students who have financial need, are in good standing with the department, and who have an interest in research and/or teaching.

Amount: $1,000.00


Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children's Hospital Dept. of Respiratory Care Scholarship

To provide scholarship assistance to students enrolled in the program.

Amount: $2,000.00


Brian Po-Lin Lee Cardiopulmonary Science Award

Scholarship assistance to two students enrolled in the department. One student who consistently demonstrates a charismatic quality in both class and clinical setting and one student who spends time helping other colleagues in the class and clinical settings. 

Amount: $500 x 2


Cardiopulmonary Scholarship for Clinical Excellence in Respiratory Care

The funds shall be used to provide annual scholarship assistance to students excelling in clinical practice in respiratory care.

Amount: $200.00

Clinical Laboratory Sciences

Dr. James L. Welch Scholarship

Provides scholarship assistance to students enrolled in program. Preferential consideration is to be given to students interested in education research or treatment related to Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

Amount: $1,000.00


Moncrieff Scholarship

Provide scholarship assistance to worthy students enrolled in the Medical Technology Program.

Amount: $4,000.00


Clinical Laboratory Sciences Scholarship

Provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend school.

Amount: $1,000.00


Saunders & Wiesseman Worthy Student Scholarship

Awarded to a worthy student studying medical technology. 

Amount: $3,000.00


Walsh & Loock Scholarship Endowment

Annual scholarships to one or more students chosen by the deal, based on need, leadership capabilities, academic achievement and community service orientation.

Amount: $1,500.00


John Lewis Scholarship Endowment

To fund scholarships for students enrolled in the program with financial need. Preference shall be given to students coming from outside the USA to attend school.

Amount: $3,500.00

Communication Sciences and Disorders

Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Scholarship and Endowment

Provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend school.

Evelyn Britt Promising Student Award

To be given to outstanding clinical and/or academic senior-year students enrolled in the department who have potential to continue with graduate studies.

Health Informatics, Information Management, and Administration

Elizabeth M. Guerra Scholarship

To provide scholarship assistance to worthy students enrolled in the department. Recipient shall be seniors in the Bachelor's Degree program of the department, have a grade point average of at least 3.5, have demonstrated a dedication to the profession of HIIM, and have good leadership skills and good personal qualities.

Amount: $500.00


Davidian Scholarship

To be awarded to women enrolled in any program of the department who are 30 years of age or older.

Amount: $200.00


Margaret Jackson Alumni Scholarship Endowment

To provide scholarship assistance each year to one or more senior HIIM students enrolled in the department.

Health Information Administration Scholarship

To provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend the school.

Winifred Van Pelt Schmitt Scholarship

To provide scholarship assistance to student enrolled in the department who have financial need, are making satisfactory progress toward an academic degree and demonstrate professional promise.

Kathleen Zolber Scholarship 

To provide scholarship assistance to one or more students enrolled in the department. Recipients shall be selected on the basis of financial need and clinical competence.

To provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend the school.

Georgia W. Hodgkin Scholarship

To provide scholarships for students enrolled in the department.

Dr. Donna Rubano Galuzzo Scholarship

To provide scholarship assistance to students enrolled in Nutrition and Dietetics. Recipients must embody the mission and values of the University to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ "to make man whole" and must be recognized by the department as living up to their academic and professional potential.

To provide scholarship assistance to students enrolled in the department.

Martha Miller Scholarship

To provide scholarship assistance to worthy students enrolled in the department. Scholarships shall be given at the beginning of the academic year to a student who demonstrates financial need and academic and professional promise.

Annual scholarship awarded to students pursuing a career in Nutrition & Dietetics.

Occupational Therapy

Department of Occupational Therapy Scholarship

To provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend the school. 

Amount: $4,000.00 


Dr. Hamid Javaherian Memorial Award

To provide scholarship support to a student enrolled in the third year of the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program or any student in the PP Doctor of Occupational Therapy program who exemplifies compassion, leadership, program innovation and dedication to the community in the spirit of occupational justice.

Amount: $500.00 


Eric Olsen & Friends Endowment

To provide scholarships to Occupational Therapy students who demonstrate academic and clinical excellence and exhibit dedication to the field. Preference is given to students who want to pursue a career within pediatrics.

Amount: $2,000.00 - $6,000.00

Jonna Hughes Memorial Scholarship

To provide scholarships to be awarded to female students enrolled in the department who have risen above personal circumstances to fulfill a life of service to others.

Amount: $2,500.00


Jeanne Middleton Memorial Scholarship

To provide scholarship assistance to students enrolled in the DPT program of the department. Recipients shall be in their first year of the program and shall be selected on the basis of financial need and professional potential.

Amount: $3,000.00


Ronald Hershey Student Scholarship Endowment

To provide scholarships to students enrolled in the department on the basis of financial need.

The Department of Physical Therapy Scholarship

To provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend the school.

Fred B. Moor Student Scholarship

To provide scholarship support for students enrolled in the department who have a GPA of 3.0 or above and who have financial need.

Amount: $300.00


Thomas G. Burke Memorial Scholarship

To provide scholarship support for students enrolled in the DPT program of the department who have satisfactorily completed at least one quarter of the program and who have financial need.

Amount: $750.00 


ISLEY (RANDALL C.) AWARD

Annual scholarship award of $500 to a student studying in the Physical Therapy Assistant program.

Amount: $500.00 


Matthew Lynn Schrader Memorial Scholarship

Used to fund scholarships for students enrolled in the PTA program who exhibit a passion for helping people, students who do not seem to see their career or degree as a way to get ahead in life, but as a way to help people and who connect with their patients not only by physical therapy, but by getting to know them and spending time with them. Recipient should be making satisfactory progress toward an academic degree.

Amount: $2,500


Appleton Award for Excellence in Clinical Performance

Awards for students enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program who demonstrates professional promise and outstanding performance in clinical experience courses. Awards are to be a minimum of $500 each with four awards to be given per year with preference to two men and women.

Physician Assistant

Neidigh Physician Assistant Scholarship

Recipients shall be qualified in their first academic year and awarded in their second year. Must have a 3.0 GPA in University didactic course and have demonstrated leadership qualities including: sound judgment, willingness to lead out in activities or study groups, mature and responsible behavior, rapport with colleagues and recent involvement in community service.

Amount: $750.00


Physicians Assistant Scholarship Fund

To provide scholarship assistance to students enrolled in the department.

Amount: $800.00

Radiation Technology

Radiation Technology Scholarship

To provide financial aid to students enrolled in the department who require such assistance in order to attend the school. 

Amount: $3,000.00


Radiation Technology BS/MS Scholarship

A scholarship for students who are pursuing a bachelors or masters degree within the department and are in good standing within their program.
